Waterford Lakes Town Center is proud to introduce a new outdoor event series titled "The Playhouse". This series will take place under a large event tent and consist of three different themed live shows that include a food component.
- Country Western Jamboree - October 3rd - 5pm and 8pm.This down-home evening of Country-Western Fun will provide Uproarious Entertainment for your Guests. The interactive experience begins with 30 minutes of Strolling Pre-Show Entertainment (Country Musician and Stilt Walkers) for Guests who arrive early. During this time, Guests can grab their hearty Country BBQ meal and favorite beverage. The one hour show begins with a 10-minute World-Champion Trick Roper Opening Act, followed by the 50-minute Main Show, featuring a gang of professional improv Musicians/Actors who not only play music and have great harmonies, but are also downright fun. Guests will enjoy Comedy, Country, Bluegrass, and Pop Tunes during this unforgettable Hootenanny created exclusively for Waterford Lakes Town Center.
- The Spirit of Samba-October 17th-5pm-6pm
Spirit of Samba Show- Energy, Passion, and Filled with Colors! On this night you will experience a taste of Brazil. You are invited to learn about Brazil’s vibrant culture through its traditional music by a live Brazilian band, acrobatics, and dance from its various regions. During this show see talented performers in exotic, colorful costumes dance: the Carimbo, lambada , Axe-Bahia, Brazilian funk , maculelê, Gafieira-Bossa Nova, and the famous dance preformed by the Broadway Actress Carmem Miranda - the”Brazilian Bombshell.” You will also see the expressive Brazilian Martial Art “Capoeira” and for the grand finale celebrate the World Famous Party - Carnival ! And that is the real Spirit of Samba!
- Hawaiian Luau - November 14th - 5pm and 8pm.
The night will begin with tropical music in the background with our beautiful dancers as you arrive. A tropical welcome drink will be waiting for you at the table along with a silk lei. A traditional luau menu that consists of Tropical salad, pulled kalua pork (island favorite) Teriyaki Chicken, Luau Fried Rice, Sweet Rolls and a pineapple upside down cake for desert. There will also be a bar consisting of a variety of liquors, wine and beer as well as non-alcoholic options. Our big luau show will follow including an exciting fire knife performance that allows us to take you on magical journey to the islands of Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti and Samoa. ~Mahalo!
