Safe Driving Awareness and Family Day

In support of National Safety Council’s Distracted Driving Awareness month, FLVS will host an educational event in partnership with Waterford Lakes Town Center to increase driver safety and awareness. This event will consist of multiple vendors providing safety tips to parents and students, bounce houses, kids craft area, safety demonstrations (including the roll over car), and a food truck and sweet treats!
Volunteers will be handing out promo items, manning the booth, and educating visitors about everything FLVS offers, including our great Driver’s Ed course.
The FLVS Driver’s Ed course provides students with the ability to understand both the road rules, as well as the real life expectations and dangers of driving. It is provided to all Florida students and this course provides ½ credit towards their GPA, satisfies their online course requirement to graduate from public high school, their drug and alcohol certificate, as well as a free online road signs and rules test.
Event will take place in the parking lot located behind Old Navy.
